Bringing together a combined reputation for world-leading education and research, and extensive experience in international education, the Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia campus will deliver the highest quality, affordable educational opportunities to Indonesian and international students, while also working to support the education, research, and human capital priorities of the Indonesian Government. It will also advance Indonesia’s reputation as an appealing international education destination.
The Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia campus will open to students in September 2025, initially offering five dual degree undergraduate programs in the areas of Business and Information Technology. The dual degree programs combine subjects from undergraduate programs at both universities, enabling students to achieve two individual degree qualifications (two testamurs) in just three years of undergraduate study. The campus will also offer a one-year preparatory program as direct pathway to the three-year undergraduate programs.
The Indonesia campus is located in Bandung, West Java, which is recognised as an important and vibrant location for higher education in Indonesia. Students and teachers will be part of a thriving education community attracting diverse student cohorts from across Indonesia and globally. The Campus that has been created is a state-of-the-art teaching and learning environment.
Job DescriptionA major focus of this role is to maintain proper accounting records for Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (Bandung) (DLI) across all of the General ledger including accounts receivable, banking and accounts payable.
The role will be responsible for ensuring the general ledger is complete and accurate and completed in compliance with Group accounting policies. In addition the role needs to ensure that accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank accounts are reconciled on a timely basis and to manage all student finance responsibilities of the Campus.

KEY RESULT AREAS
This role reports to the COO DLI and is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of the Finance functions, management of staff, and workflow to provide highest quality financial services to support the business.
General Ledger
- Performing timely and accurate month end processes for Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (Bandung), including proper revenue and expense recognition, overhead allocations and accruals.
- Preparation of monthly financial and management reporting package including variance analysis
- Manage and oversees Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
- Ensure the accurate calculation and provision of Royalty and Management fee amounts
- Ensure the accurate calculation and accounting of commissions payable, amortisation and accruals
- Review and sign-off monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring that reconciliations are properly prepared and reconciling items are promptly resolved and cleared in a timely manner
- Ensure the fixed asset registers are properly maintained, coordinating the annual asset verification and asset write off in line with the delegations of authority
- Compliance with Divisional and Navitas Group policies & procedures
- Ensure the provision of information, training and supervision necessary to safeguard the health and safety of employees
- Other duties and responsibilities as required
Tax Compliance
- Preparation of information for the submission of VAT, WHT and other tax returns.
- Prepare and coordinate the annual corporate income tax return.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and reporting deadlines.
Financial Reporting
- Preparation of statutory financial statements and internal management reports.
- Support audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Fluent in verbal and written English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Bachelor degree in Accounting and/or related areas
- Previous experience in a Finance role
- Strong Excel skills and good analytical skills
- Team player, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management skills and ability to work independently
Desirable:
- Fluent in verbal and written Bahasa Indonesia
- Relevant educational industry experience, particularly with the tertiary sector
- User knowledge of Oracle
- Knowledge of financial compliance, regulatory requirements, and Accounting standards in Indonesia
