We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary Accountant to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.
This temporary position is expected to last 14 months.
Reporting to the Manager, Finance, you will be responsible for analyzing financial information, preparing journal entries, processing payroll, and delivering timely and accurate financial reports to management.
You will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the weekly sales and tender reconciliation process by reviewing and reconciling large volumes of data to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.
- Analyzing and preparing financial statements and collaborating with other departments to identify abnormalities and compile insightful variance analysis.
- Assessing opportunities for business or system process improvements.
- Assisting with special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis and as required.
- Preparing journal entries and performing other accounting duties as required.
You have:
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
- Completed or are working towards a professional accounting designation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase and/or Oracle Peoplesoft is an asset.
You are:
- Capable of processing large datasets and reviewing financial information with a curious and analytical mindset to interpret trends and prepare meaningful analysis.
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Driven and enthusiastic, with the ability to work well independently and in team environments.

$58,720.00 - $73,400.00The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
