The Team

Are you looking for a new challenge in accounting and bookkeeping? We are looking for an experienced accountant to complement our finance team and enrich the accounting department based at our Frankfurt am Main office on a hybrid basis.

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensuring the quality of accounting records in monthly and annual financial statements.

• Ensuring the timely annual audit process and regular contact with auditors.

• Working closely with the Finance Shared Service Center in the areas of Cash & Banking, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.

• Supporting cash management (including regular contact with banks).

• Responsible for tax compliance and tax payments in close collaboration with tax advisors.

• Ensuring the quality of the balance sheet (e.g., reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including monthly review of the trial balance; accruals and deferrals, consolidation entries)

• Intercompany accounting - monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances and group clearing accounts

• Preparation of external reports such as VAT reports, combined sales returns, Intrastat, trade statistics, Green Dot reports (discharge reports)

• Support in the further development of the recently implemented SAP HANA ERP system in collaboration with the global IT department

• Ensuring compliance with and improving internal control systems

What you’ll bring

• Completed University Degree in Finance / Business Management with a focus on accounting or taxation or relevant professional development

• Ideally have previous professional experience in a renowned auditing firm or in the accounting department of an industrial company - may also consider a junior candidate

• Profound knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB) and US GAAP

• IT affinity: SAP (preferably SAP HANA), MS Office (especially Excel), reporting and consolidation tools (preferably Tagetik)

• Fluent in German and English

• Team player and strong communicator

• Proactivity and personal responsibility
