Currently we are hiring for an Accountant
This position is responsible for essential accounting processes supporting the WinField United Canada crop inputs business segment and supporting key operational business activities. This position is in the Saskatoon office, with some work from home flexibility.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare month end journal entries
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Work with Procurement team to ensure accruals for rebates are accurate and complete
- Reconcile rebate programs received and paid out
- Lead monthly meetings with stake holders
- Timely and accurate margin analysis and variance explanations
- Work with various departments to research and resolve issues
- Maintain internal controls in assigned areas and perform various other responsibilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Commerce/Business with a major in Accounting and a minimum of 3 year of experience
- CPA or be working towards it
- Proficient in Excel and all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc)
- Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP is a benefit
Candidates should be detail-oriented, a self-starter, with a sense of humour; who can meet timelines and goals; and who can build strong relationships with business partners.
