We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Accountant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks and assist in maintaining accurate financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in finance and accounting, gain hands-on experience, and grow within a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable: responsible for bank payments for multiple European entities.
Bank Statements: booking and reconciliation.
Active participation in the accounting close process to ensure a timely and accurate month-end close in compliance with corporate requirements for multiple European entities - including journal entries and reconciliations.
Support the EMEA Controller in the preparation of corporate reporting requirements, and other reports upon request and offer support in the preparation of statutory reports and annual financial statements.
Prepare VAT returns and information required by local authorities in compliance with the legislation applicable, as guided and supported by EMEA Controller.
Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
Assist with internal and external audit activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.

Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues.
Requirements
Educational background in Economics, Accounting, or Finance

Accounting qualification - part or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
2+ years of general accounting experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Experience with an ERP system
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Interpersonal skills: diplomacy, confidentiality, and integrity
