How do we work?

You will be a key member of 7-person Accounting & Financial Reporting Team, based in Warsaw, which is a key component of a larger, global Finance and Accounting Department.

We work in a hybrid model - we'd love to meet you in the Warsaw office twice a week concerning your commitments.

In this role, you will:​

• Prepare reports to external institutions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations prescribed for a brokerage house, including reporting to the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) and preparation of the MDF report.

• Assist in preparing financial reports for the OANDA group, senior management and the Board of Directors.

• Support year-end preparation of documents and financial statements for external auditors.

• Maintain month-end schedules (prepayments, accruals, intercompany balances, etc.).

• Assist with account reconciliations, bank transactions, customer settlements, and fund reconciliations.

• Analyze ledger accounts, verify ratios, identify budget discrepancies, and provide explanations.

• Perform accounting entries in line with Polish accounting and tax regulations.

• Handle ad-hoc accounting projects for senior management.

What skillset do you need to be successful in this role?

• Previous experience in Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Internal Controls or Financial and Regulatory Audits.

• Ability or/and experience of cooperating with internal and external stakeholder e.g. auditing companies, financial institutions or external regulators (Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego).

• Fluent in Polish and communicative in English.

• Proficient in accounting software and spreadsheet apps (MS Excel, Google Sheets).

• A team player with good communication abilities.

• Autonomy and excellent organisation skills.

Nice to have:

• Working experience of SQL.

• Knowledge of Polish GAAP and other accounting principles.

• Previous experience in financial services / CFD trading / exchange or payment companies.
