YOU
The Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, analyzing, and reconciling transactions and general ledger (G/L) balances. This role is responsible for handling daily accounting functions such as invoicing customers, paying vendor purchase orders (POs), depositing checks, and managing financial reporting and reconciliation. Additionally, the Accountant assists with month-end close, financial analysis, and audit processes. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems such as QuickBooks and SAP.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Perform account reconciliations and journal voucher preparations, accrual calculations, trial balance reconciliation and analysis. Responsible for maintaining schedules for prepaid accounts. Prepare and analyze rebate and royalty calculations. Prepare daily sales reports, ad hoc monthly reporting and analysis for management. Inventory reports and reconciliations of key G/L accounts along with journal entries and processing. Reporting and collaboration with Home Office/McKinney controllers. Invoice customers, process payments for vendor POs, and deposit checks. Administrative support, including answering phones when needed. (70%)
Assist with the annual operating budget process, conduct monthly department expense and budget analysis to control cost. (15%)
Maintain process flow documentation and work closely with internal and external auditors throughout the audit process. (10%)
Perform other duties including special projects assigned, coordinating phone/email communication from vendors and customers to appropriated internal contacts for prompt resolution, and assisting the Branch Controller. (5%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
- CPA or Public Accounting experience is a plus
- 3 years of accounting experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- 2 years of Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX 404 internal controls
- 2 years of SAP or another major ERP knowledge strongly preferred
- 1 year or more experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Analysis/Reasoning: Ability to collect, analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data. Strong mathematical proficiency in applying concepts like percentages, ratios, discounts, etc.
- Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying problems and implementing solutions, making decisions, and taking appropriate actions.
- Attention to Detail: Performs quality work with attention to accuracy, identifying root causes of issues, improving processes, and assures alignment with supervisor and company objectives.
- Accountability & Dependability: Works independently, comes in on-time, meets deadlines, accepts ownership of projects, can maintains confidentiality.
- Self-Management/Prioritization: Capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities in a cross-functional environment with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively, handle stress, and present ideas clearly.
- Computer/Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.), can proficiently operate office equipment such as copiers/scanners/check deposit machines, skilled in QuickBooks, SAP, or other major ERP systems.

This position may require occasional domestic overnight travel.
WORK STATUS & LOCATION
This full-time, exempt position is located in Fulton, MO.
RELOCATION
Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
PAY
$56,400 - $90,200 / year
