Job Description:
As an Accountant at BW Integrated Systems, you will play a vital role in our finance department and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. While this role will have responsibility for traditional month end activities, it will also have the opportunity to be a financial business partner to our manufacturing sites located across the U.S. Being a business partner means you will work closely with our operational teams within these sites and provide support through meaningful financial reporting. This is a fully on-site / in-person role in our Romeoville, IL office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with month end close procedures such as journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and quarterly corporate reporting.
- Participate in weekly backlog / forecast meetings alongside the operational teams and make necessary adjustments to margin views based upon those discussions.
- Perform cost accounting duties such as collecting and analyzing costs on manufactured equipment to ensure proper allocation during revenue recognition.
- Manage inventory adjustments and balancing of daily inventory transactions
- Prepare tax filings and returns.
- System maintenance items such as tax tables.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-2 years of accounting experience preferred (entry-level candidates will be considered)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Solid interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to meet monthly closing and project deadlines
