Job Summary:

PatientPoint is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of accounting experience and will be responsible for general ledger accounting, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation. While knowledge of Excel and NetSuite is a plus, it is not a requirement. The candidate must have an accounting degree and preferably be working toward a CPA designation.

What You’ll Do:

General Ledger Accounting:

  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Journal Entry Preparation:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and other financial records.

Account Reconciliation:

  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure all balances are accurate and discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.

Additional Duties:

  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Assist in the implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
  • Provide support during audits and assist with audit preparations as needed.

What we need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Progress toward CPA designation is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of NetSuite is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
