ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is an established air conditioning contractor based in Krugersdorp, specialising in air conditioning installation and service work. They are looking for an experienced, hands-on Accountant to run the full accounting, payroll and tax function onsite.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the business, from cash flow, debtors and creditors through to general ledger reconciliations, payroll and SARS submissions. The role suits a self-sufficient accountant who can work independently, keep accurate records on Sage One and give management reliable daily reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash Flow & Payments
Manage daily cash flow.
Assist with payment releases.
Manage petty cash.
Debtors & Creditors
Manage debtors and creditors.
Process supplier invoices.
Generate client invoices and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Bookkeeping & Reporting
Capture all accounting transactions.
Reconcile all general ledger accounts.
Prepare and distribute daily management reports.
Payroll
Manage payroll functions, including payslips and IRP5s.
Complete EMP201 and EMP501 submissions.
SARS & Tax
Handle SARS submissions for Income Tax, VAT and Provisional Tax.
Audit
Address audit queries and ensure they are resolved on time.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 / Matric.
Accounting qualification or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience.
Strong MS Excel skills.
Sage One experience.
Solid knowledge of taxation for individuals.
ADVANTAGEOUS
Experience in a contracting, engineering or technical services environment.
Experience running payroll and SARS submissions end to end.
Available to start immediately or at short notice.
