As a member of the Accounting Team, the Accountant’s role is to assist the Regional Controller in the completion of the Revenue Data Entry and the Accounting Month Reporting responsibilities assigned to the Team, within the deadlines and standards established for the Department. You’ll responsible for the execution, enforcement, and success of our corporate accounting procedures across Reimagined Parking Organization. You’ll build mutually beneficial relationships with intercompany, finance, and accounting leadership while working to maintain accounting consistency, compliance, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing and reconciling multiple reports
- Execute day-to-day accounting procedures by organizing and updating financial records and reconciling general ledger accounts, including cash
- Processing bank reconciliations
- Daily collection of accounting data from various parking systems for the preparation of monthly reports
- Organizing and updating financial records and reconciling general ledger accounts, including cash
- Prepare financial statements while agreeing balances and posting required journals for monthly close
- Build mutually beneficial relationships with intercompany leaders and internal financial reporting experts and leadership to account for the company’s corporate accounting operations
- Correspond with external auditors to prepare documentation to ensure effective integration of various financial reports
- Prepare best-in-class reporting information, visuals, and mechanisms, and inform decision making by assisting in the preparation of internal and external reporting and synthesize a wide range of report formats
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) who provides strategic counsel and advice to senior leadership by mobilizing financial knowledge and reporting experience for external and internal reporting practices
- Ensuring that all Daily Parking Reports are entered on a timely basis
- Responsible for entering up to 30% of the volume of these reports
- Processing general journal entries for lot revenues and expenses
- Complete journal entries
- Miscellaneous Accounts Receivable
- Other Responsibilities to be assigned by the manager
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree (3-4 yr) in Accounting or Finance, strongly preferred
- 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Experience in external/internal reporting and consolidation is a must
- AS400 Accounting Software experience preferred.
- CPA, preferred
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, in a team, and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and a high speed of data entry
- Proficient Computer skills in Microsoft, Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
