Responsibilities
- Process bill payments within the budget
- Monitor cash flow and liaise with bank
- Review expenses and handle employee reimbursements
- Prepare and file PST and GST returns
- Perform month-end closing procedures
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
- Aid in internal & external audit process
- Cover for colleagues during vacations
- Address other financial reporting needs as required
- Collaborate on reporting with our team in China. Proficiency in a Chinese language is considered an asset to enhance communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- CPA designation or nearing completion is an asset
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance; experience in technology industry is advantageous
- 3 years of tax experience is an asset
- Hands-on full cycle accounting experience is preferred
- Knowledge & experience on financial reporting and budgeting
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Queries, V-lookups, Pivot Tables, Dashboards) are preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
- Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
