We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Accountant to support our business in the Asia-Pacific region. This role combines responsibilities across accounts payable, revenue accounting, and management reporting. You will be reporting to the local Finance Director and working closely with the finance teams based in Australia and the United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial operations, a proactive mindset, and the ability to support both transactional and strategic finance functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue & Project Accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely production of client invoices, including fees and rechargeable costs.
- Monitor and ensure timely time entry by client-facing teams.
- Reconcile rechargeable costs against amounts billed in advance or unbilled.
- Investigate project variances and submit detailed variance reports to the Finance Manager.
- Monitor project profitability and address discrepancies proactively.
- Maintain Work in Progress (WIP) records and the sales ledger; manage debtors and collections.
- Ensure compliance with client billing requirements and internal financial controls.
Management Accounting & Reporting
- Support the management accounting function, including budgeting, forecasting, Balance Sheet reconciliation and cash flow projections.
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations and maintain monthly control files.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of statutory reports, where applicable.
Governance, Compliance & Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes
- Collaborating across teams for accurate reporting and strategic alignment.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Support audit processes and requests.
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting role (AP/AR)
- Experience in professional services or project-based environments preferred
- Working towards or holding a professional qualification (ACCA, HKICPA)
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive, collaborative, and resilient under pressure
