Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing regional Internet Service Provider (ISP) team in Louisiana. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting processes, assisting with budgeting and reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced telecommunications environment. Experience within the telecommunications or broadband industry is preferred. Familiarity with CHR Omnia BSS billing and operational systems is considered a strong advantage.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform daily accounting activities including:
    • General ledger entries
    • Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
    • Bank and account reconciliations
    • Journal entries
    • Fixed asset tracking
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and supporting schedules.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation for external auditors.
  • Review and reconcile customer billing and revenue reporting data.
  • Work closely with operations and management teams to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze expenses, revenue trends, and variances.
  • Help improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and tax-related filings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience required.
  • Experience in telecommunications, broadband, utility, or ISP industries preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
  • Experience with CHR Omnia BSS is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Standard hours are generally 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, though schedules may vary based on business needs 
  • Occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be required to support operational demands, special projects, or peak periods 
  • Flexibility is required to support departmental needs, including high-volume or critical service periods 
  • Work arrangement may be remote, in-office, or hybrid depending on role requirements and department assignment

Physical Demands
