Your role at Clorox:

The General Accounting role plays a critical part in delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting a timely month end close. As part of the Global Business Services (GBS) Record to Report team, this position is responsible for executing core and complex accounting activities with a strong focus on analysis, compliance, and quality. The role partners closely with Corporate Accounting, Risk Management, Treasury, Tax, and external auditors, and contributes to the company’s ongoing transformation to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and enhance financial reporting accuracy.

In this role, you will:

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned entities and processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting policies.
• Prepare and post complex and judgmental journal entries in SAP S/4, ensuring appropriate documentation, approvals, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and Clorox policies.
• Prepare and record monthly accruals related to payroll, benefits, professional fees, insurance, severance, and other significant expense areas.
• Support SEC reporting activities, including reconciliations and financial statement tie‑outs.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, and control effectiveness within General Accounting processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with S/4 stabilization and long‑term audit sustainability.

What we look for:

​ Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Advanced English level
• 3-4 years of experience in Accounting
• SAP knowledge preferred
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statements
• Good accounting skills
