SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting with the preparation of federal and state income and franchise tax returns and work papers. Other responsibilities include: assisting with the calculation and preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments; assisting with IRS and state income tax audits; performing tax research; various other income tax-related activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required. Master's Degree in Accounting or Tax is a plus.
Experience: 2+ years of tax or accounting experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, with strong Excel aptitude; ability to efficiently learn and work with income tax preparation software, SAP and Word; perform technical research using CCH, BNA, RIA, or other tax research tools.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Certifications: CPA certification or currently pursuing certification is a plus.
Special Skills: Ability to multitask, good interpersonal skills, corporate income tax knowledge, and an understanding of financial statements.
Supervisory: None.
Travel: 0 to 3 domestic trips per year.
