POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for general accounting that involves the preparation of statistical data and financial reports concerning profits, cash and inventory. Perform accounting duties that include assisting with trial balance and other financial reports. Work is routine with some difficult situations requiring investigation. Scope of position will include a wide range of difficult problems. Follows established procedures and best practices
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
- Preparing financial statements
- Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
- Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset schedules
- Assisting with the initial internal control evaluations
- Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries
- Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
Safety and Health – Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)
BS - Accounting Required
CPA/CMA Preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good organization skills
1-3 years related experience
Must be able to work in a team environment
Highly driven - self starter
Salary Range: 70K-105K
