Accountant, Singapore (3 months contract)

We are looking for detail-oriented and responsible Account Payable Executive to support the fiancé team on a 3-months contract basis.  The role primarily focuses on supplier invoice matching and posting, as well as processing staff expenses claims accurately and timely. You will report to the Finance Manager, APAC. This opportunity will be 100% based in Biopolis office at Buona Vista, 5 days work week. 

What you will do: 

• Invoice Processing: Perform 3-way matching for supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods receipt documents.
• Data Entry: Verify supporting documents, ensure proper approvals, and accurately post entries into your ERP (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle).
• Expense Claims: Process employee travel and business expense claims in strict compliance with internal company policies. 

Vendor Management & Reconciliations

• Discrepancy Resolution: Follow up with internal departments and vendors to clear up missing information, incorrect pricing, or mismatched PO quantities.
• Statement Reconciliation: Routinely reconcile vendor statement of accounts and resolve any payment-related discrepancies.
• Payment Generation: Prepare and execute payment runs according to established schedules. 

Month-End and Compliance

• Closing Assistance: Help the finance team with month-end closing activities, including aging reviews and accruals.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, organized, and auditable filing of all AP records and supporting documents.

What you will bring: 

• Education: Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant hands-on Accounts Payable experience.
• System Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with ERP systems like JD Edwards, SAP, or Oracle Accounts Payable Assistant (6mths Contract) - MyCareersFuture.
• Soft Skills: Meticulous, organized, detail-oriented, and able to start work at short notice will be preferred.
