Role Overview:
My role as the PlayStation Network Accountant is to produce monthly results for Sony Interactive Entertainment Network Europe (SIENE) and Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe (SIEE). Also to support the adoption of new financial processes for evolving network business models.
What you'll be doing:
- Accounting for new business models.
- Processing and reporting of the P&L for PS Plus Data Centres.
- Month end postings and subsequent balance sheet reconciliations including SOX compliance.
- Reconciliation of the systems postings to SAP to ensure completeness and accuracy throughout the month.
- Book accruals and pre-payments ensuring reflective monthly cost reporting for the PSNOW P&L
- Review and book Credit Card accruals while considering monthly trends created by game releases
- Oversee Integrator accounts, including deep analysis on historic variances between reported sales and settlement payments
- Prepare clear and concise monthly balance sheet reconciliations for each integrator within SIENE
- Implementation of new processes to allow for continuous improvement within PlayStation network
- Keeping up to date with technical as well as industry/sector developments to ensure best practice of deliverables to customers
- Maintain procedures and SOX manuals.
- Providing Audit information as requested.
- Process improvement & review of current accounting models.
- Management Reporting, including digital KPI’s.
- Support commercial finance team.
- Adhoc projects.
What we're looking for:
- An ability to work with Excel and Pivot tables.
- An understanding of financial accounting principles (Dr/Cr flow to P&L & BS).
- Organised individual with drive and dedication; able to work alone and part of a team.
- Efficient worker who can work under time pressure and maintain high attention to detail.
- Flexible and dynamic individual who can respond quickly to a constantly evolving finance environment.
- A great teammate who works collaboratively with the team.
- SAP and ERP systems experience useful.
