Accountant, Operations

Responsibilities:

The Operations Accounting Staff will work with a team of accounting professionals to support the field operations for Pest, Distribution, Ambius and other businesses with focus on the following:

• Prepare journal entries for assigned accounts; review GL accounts/financial statements for reasonableness    
• Prepare reconciliations for assigned accounts    
• Assist with the monthly flux analysis by compiling data requested by Manager or Senior Accountant    
• Identify areas of inefficiency in daily tasks and work with the Senior Accountant to solution    
• Identify events - i.e., missing rent, utilities, charges posted to wrong accounts etc.
• As required, assist Senior Accountant with estimating amounts to accrue, defer, reverse or change based upon historical data and knowledge of business.
• Agree balances to supporting documentation/source (operating system, bank statements, etc)  
• Identify/research/resolve any unusual balances for trial balance and P&L accounts    
• Work with Seniors and Managers to foster personal career development    
• Ensure security and integrity of Rentokil North America’s financial information    
• Assist Senior Accountant with performing ad-hoc financial analysis    
• Assist with Internal and External Audits by compiling requested data and support documentation   
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience - Required
• MBA in finance, accounting or related field - Preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance fields    
• Experience with multi-unit organization    
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with leaders and act as a partner on all financial-related decisions.    
• Thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment while maintaining focus on delivering repeatable, reliable solutions with flawless execution and superior customer service.    
• Ability to work independently, setting own priorities and objectives with leadership support.

• Ability to maintain highly confidential information.    
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be willing to work night shift schedules (US hours) and during PH Holidays.
• Must be able to work in Alabang, Muntinlupa when work in the office resumes (temp WFH).
