Accountant (Mumbai)

QAD is looking for a detail-oriented Treasury & Accounting Analyst to support day-to-day treasury operations while assisting with core accounting activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across cash management, financial reporting, and general ledger functions to help maintain financial health and compliance across the organization.

This position will require:

Treasury:

• Manage daily cash positioning, cash concentration, and intercompany funding activities.
   

• Develop, maintain, and improve short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
   

• Monitor and optimize liquidity across global bank accounts.
   

• Maintain strong relationships with banking partners, including coordination with banks to resolve issues and ensure timely solutions.
   

• Negotiate banking products, services, and fees to support business needs.
   

• Oversee and enhance treasury systems, banking portals, and payment processes.
   

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and treasury policies.
   

• Prepare treasury-related reports for management, including cash flow analytics and variance explanations.
   

• Support financing arrangements, debt compliance, and covenant monitoring.
   

• Collaborate with Accounting, Tax, and FP&A teams on cash management and treasury-related projects.

Accounting:

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.
   

• Record accruals, prepayments, and reclassification entries as needed.
   

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for assigned entities or areas.
   

• Collaborate with other finance functions such as AP, AR, and FP&A to ensure completeness and accuracy of records.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or CTP preferred.

• 4–8 years of progressive treasury or corporate finance experience 

• Strong knowledge of cash management, banking products

• Experience with treasury management systems is a plus.
   

• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
   

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
   

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
