Position: Mid-Level Construction Accountant
Location: Flexible (Work-from-home with minimum 1 day office presence per week)
Preferred ERP Experience: Acumatica; Commercial ERP systems at a minimum
Education: Accounting degree preferred, but not required
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with experience in construction, federal government contracting, payroll, accounts payable and receivables, job costing, and budgeting
Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial aspects of federal government contracting projects
- Manage payroll, accounts payable, and receivables efficiently
- Utilize ERP systems (preferably Acumatica) for job costing and budgeting
- Reconcile various accounts with attention to detail and accuracy
- Leverage strong Excel skills for in-depth data analysis and financial reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and compliance
- Experience in construction accounting and federal government contracting
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Acumatica or similar commercial systems
- Strong command of payroll, accounts payable, and receivables processes
- Solid background in job costing, budgeting, WIPs and financial analysis
- Ability to reconcile diverse accounts independently, resolving discrepancies efficiently
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
