Join Our Team as a Mid-Level Construction Accountant

Are you an adept accounting professional with a specialized background in construction accounting, ERP systems, and federal government contracting? We're on the lookout for a talented individual to join our team, bringing expertise in diverse financial facets to drive success for the company and your career.

Position: Mid-Level Construction Accountant
Location: Flexible (Work-from-home with minimum 1 day office presence per week)
Preferred ERP Experience: Acumatica; Commercial ERP systems at a minimum
Education: Accounting degree preferred, but not required
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with experience in construction, federal government contracting, payroll, accounts payable and receivables, job costing, and budgeting

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial aspects of federal government contracting projects
  • Manage payroll, accounts payable, and receivables efficiently
  • Utilize ERP systems (preferably Acumatica) for job costing and budgeting
  • Reconcile various accounts with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Leverage strong Excel skills for in-depth data analysis and financial reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and compliance

Qualifications

 

  • Experience in construction accounting and federal government contracting
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Acumatica or similar commercial systems
  • Strong command of payroll, accounts payable, and receivables processes
  • Solid background in job costing, budgeting, WIPs and financial analysis
  • Ability to reconcile diverse accounts independently, resolving discrepancies efficiently
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
