Why this role is important to us:
Senior Financial Controllers are finance professionals who ensure that business transactions are captured and booked accordingly. The Senior Financial Controller has a basic understanding of accounting practices and is responsible for booking according to global policies and local GAAP. The Senior Financial Controller will be specialized in customer contract set up and updating contracts in the ERP system for entities across the Group. Regardless of the specific responsibilities assigned, the Senior Financial Controllers is responsible for the accurate and timely booking of transactions which are the basis of our internal and external reporting activities.
What you will be responsible for:
- Processing, verifying, and posting invoices for services rendered
- Generate and send out invoices to clients
- Investigate and resolve any disputes raised by the clients regarding monthly billings
- Research and resolve account discrepancies
- Process payments, reconcile customer accounts, validate deductions and process credit memos
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-date
- Responsible for credit management, dunning & debt collection
- Perform Revenue recognition according to reporting criteria
- Assist in month-end closing, local reporting/compliance obligations and other accounting tasks

- Bachelor of Accounting or Finance
- Experience in commercial billing, credit, & collection experience in a complex environment is valuable
- Should have experience with SAP or any ERP system
- With comprehensive knowledge of MS Office applications
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Well organized, thorough and detailed, with a creative approach to problem solving
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures, follow through on issues and prioritize sufficiently
- Highly motivated, able to work in a team and with initiative
- A collaborative colleague who can contribute successfully within a diverse work environment
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Certain amount of flexibility in the working time may be required at times, to cater to internal clients in different time zones
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, with very good written and verbal communication skills
