Based in London, the Accountant, International will support accounting and finance functions for the international team for Magnite, a publicly traded US Company (NASDAQ: MGNI). They will report directly to the Director, Accounting, and be part of a growing dynamic company. 

In addition, this position will be assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, account analysis, and month end closing activities.  They will be part of a world-wide finance organization with team members in the United States and Australia.

In this role you will:  

  • Prepare/review monthly, quarterly, and annual filings of VAT, GST and other returns for multiple entities

  • Work with Accounting Lead in managing statutory accounts for up to 10 entities, reconciling statutory ledgers on a monthly basis

  • Assist with any external and internal audit requests

  • Assist outside firms with corporate income tax filings for multiple entities

  • Understand underlying business and related processes as the foundation for responsibilities

  • Assist with the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process, i.e. preparing journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Work with the international and corporate teams to develop reporting packages to satisfy and support statutory reporting and audits

  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuation analysis

  • Assist with the review reconciliations as a part of the close process for delegated accounts

  • Review AP reports and general ledger detail for coding discrepancies and perform re-classes as needed

  • Perform ad hoc reviews and analysis, as needed

  • Maintain adequate internal controls within the accounting processes to ensure well-documented, accurate and timely financial reporting

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 2 years of GL accounting experience

  • Highly detailed and deadline-oriented, with the ability to prioritize, focus and thrive in a high paced multi-tasking environment

  • Ability to use professional concepts and apply standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations

  • Strong verbal and written skills along with good interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Experience with a large ERP system, Oracle Financials preferred

  • Experience in the advertising and/or technology industry a plus but not required

  • Ideal candidate will possess professional attitude, initiative, genuine enthusiasm and be an overall team player
