Accountant III

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Accountant III based at our Danville, Illinois location.  

What you will do: 

• Financial Transactions: Create, process, maintain, review, analyze, and audit various financial transactions affecting the general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulations. 

• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile assigned accounts accurately and in a timely manner. 

• Financial Closing: Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing process. 

• Reporting: Prepare consolidations, financial statements, product costing, budgets, forecasts, schedules, and other reports required by management and auditors. 

• Policy Administration: Administer and ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures. 

• Audit Support: Support internal and external financial audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis. 

• Special Projects: Assist with special projects as assigned, contributing your expertise to various financial initiatives.

What you will need: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. 

• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in accounting. 

• Knowledge and understanding of general ledger accounting in accordance with GAAP and other regulations. 

• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills. 

• Results-oriented self-starter with strong initiative. 

Skills, Experience & Abilities       

• General Ledger Accounting Knowledge: Proficient understanding of general ledger accounting principles in accordance with GAAP and other relevant regulations. 

• Communication and Analytical Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Excel Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
