Target Start Date: January 4, 2027

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working closely with people, solving problems, and helping organizations strengthen their financial practices.

In this role, you'll work with a wide network of Frontline Church Partners (FCPs) across Thailand, providing financial guidance, monitoring, training, and support. You'll help improve financial accountability, strengthen compliance, build local capacity, and ensure partners have the tools and knowledge they need to manage resources effectively.

This is not a desk-based accounting role. While a strong accounting foundation is essential, a significant part of the work involves working directly with partners, conducting field visits, facilitating training, reviewing financial practices, and helping teams identify practical solutions to financial and compliance challenges.

If you enjoy combining technical finance expertise with coaching, relationship building, and field engagement, this could be an exciting next step in your career.

What You'll Be Doing

Support FCP Financial Management

  • Review monthly financial reports submitted by FCPs(Frontline Church Partner)
  • Monitor financial reports and transaction listings to identify risks, trends, gaps, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Review consolidated audit findings and support follow-up actions when needed.
  • Provide guidance on accounting processes, financial management practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Help FCPs strengthen financial accountability and reporting quality.
  • Help partners understand and apply required financial processes and standards.
  • Collaborate with partnership personnel and program trainers to drive consistent implementation practices.

Build Capacity Through Training and Coaching

  • Plan and facilitate finance-related training sessions for FCP staff and stakeholders.
  • Develop learning resources, tools, and job aids that support financial management improvement.
  • Coach finance users when accounting software or process-related challenges arise.
  • Mentor partner staff to strengthen knowledge, capability, and ownership of financial processes.
  • Present finance-related information to stakeholders from non-finance functions in a clear and practical manner.

Conduct Field Support and Partner Engagement

  • Travel regularly to FCP locations to provide direct support and coaching.
  • Build strong working relationships with FCP leadership and finance teams.
  • Assess partner needs and identify practical solutions that consider local realities and resource limitations.
  • Support partnership assessments and organizational reviews when required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues responsible for FCP monitoring and spot-check activities.

Collaborate Across Functions

  • Work closely with Finance, Partnership, People & Culture, Program Trainers, and National Leadership Team stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted finance resource for both internal teams and FCP partners.
  • Promote collaboration between finance and partnership functions to strengthen partner effectiveness.
  • Support initiatives that improve systems, reporting processes, and organizational capacity.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and financial management experience.
  • Strong accounting and financial analysis expertise.
  • Experience supporting or working directly with partner organizations.
  • Experience reviewing partner accounts, financial reports, transaction listings, and financial performance.
  • Experience reviewing consolidated audit reports and supporting corrective actions.
  • Experience conducting partnership assessments or organizational reviews.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance requirements, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of Thailand tax and VAT regulations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, training, and coaching skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present finance concepts to non-finance audiences.
  • Experience leading or supervising staff.
  • Ability to work effectively with partners operating in resource-constrained environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountant certification or completion of a professional accounting qualification.
  • Experience supporting grant implementation.
  • Experience working with U.S. Government-funded grants and/or European Union-funded grants.
  • Experience managing the accounts of large NGO or partner organizations.
  • Experience working with church partners or faith-based organizations.
  • Experience within the development sector or international NGOs.

What Success Looks Like

The person who succeeds in this role will be someone who can balance technical expertise with strong people skills. You'll be equally comfortable reviewing financial reports, facilitating a training session, conducting a field visit, or advising a partner on how to improve a financial process.

You'll be proactive, collaborative, and confident working with stakeholders at different levels. Most importantly, you'll enjoy helping others strengthen their financial management practices and achieve sustainable improvements over time.

Why Join Us?

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine finance expertise with ministry partnership, training, and capacity building.

You'll work directly with Facilitating Church Partners across Thailand, helping strengthen financial stewardship, organizational capacity, and long-term sustainability. Through regular field engagement and collaboration with cross-functional teams, you'll play a key role in equipping partners to better serve children, families, and communities.

If you're looking for a role that goes beyond traditional accounting and allows you to make a meaningful impact through coaching, partnership, and financial leadership, we'd love to hear from you.

Note: This application is open to candidates based in Thailand.
