AccountingPosition Summary
Under moderate supervision, maintain accounts receivable and general billing statements.Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable, prepare entries, and monitor employee accounts, including separating employees.
Manage collection of accounts, inactive records, and related billings.
Assist with cashier activity, control vault activity, verify daily deposits, and balance daily reports. Serve as a back-up cashier as necessary.
Perform monthly cash counts, including cashier drawers, vault, postage and petty cash drawers.
Verify and balance monthly active to inactive accounts.
Oversee scheduling of motor pool vehicles and maintenance.
Serve as point of contact to handle inquiries pertaining to accounts and collections.
Maintain retirement accounts including payments, postings, billing, and documentation.
Responsible for Touchnet - updates, reports, and reconciliations.
Assist with creating miscellaneous invoices and settlement runs and verifying checks and statements.
Assist with reviewing and adjusting students on drop for non-payment list.
Work in partnership with third-party accountant and CCC Bookstore to monitor and adjust bookstore charges and student opt-outs.
Serve as point of contact for returned mail and address adjustments.
Verify reconciled and unreconciled checks in Workday for student refunds and reissues.
Maintain and organize previous and current fiscal year documentation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires frequent sitting and moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 10 lbs.
SCHEDULE DETAILS:
Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrate understanding of accounting principles, data processing and information systems required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s Degree and/or two years experience or the equivalent year for year combination is preferred.
