Position Purpose: To maintain accurate financial records, prepare monthly financial statements and participate in special projects

Location: Applicants for this role have the flexibility to work remotely from home anywhere within the continental United States. However, due to the needs of the business, St. Louis, MO is highly preferred. 

In this Accountant I role, you will:

• Account for cash through cash deposits, cash applications, collection and cash forecasting
• Process payment and void requests
• Respond to inquiries about payments
• Assist with preparing financial reports and supporting month-end close processes
• Evaluate variances, account balances, etc.
• Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Highly preferred:

• Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years' experience in accounting, preferably in health care industry
