Summary
The Accountant analyzes monthly indirect actuals compared to budget data, updates budgets monthly and prepare budget packages, as well as other relevant month end closing tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze indirect expenses monthly to ensure proper accounting treatment and prepare corrections as needed
Analyze indirect spend trend and provide feedback to executive leadership
Prepare monthly reporting requirement for DCAA and DCMA
Act as liaison between DCAA, DCMA and CAE; including supporting various audits, like Incurred Cost and Forward Pricing Rate Proposals
Prepare monthly budget packages, work with budget owners for updates
Annually work with budget owners to develop upcoming fiscal year budgets, assist in preparing the Forward Pricing Rate Proposals and Incurred cost submissions
Process overheads for monthly, prepare reconciliations, monthly journal checks and other various ERP processes for close
Update forecasting tools for headcount and budget updates
Monthly review accurate headcount reporting and prepare labor corrections as needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Microsoft office with a focus on Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

Costpoint experience
Adaptive experience
FPRP, Incurred Cost Submission and Government Compliance experience a plus
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, with routine use of computers. The office setting is more of an open seating arrangement, so must be able to work with surrounding distractions.
