We are seeking an experienced billing specialist for our Accountant I, Revenue & Billing position. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Revenue, the Accountant I, Revenue & Billing is responsible for completing assigned client billing by compiling, reconciling, and analyzing all necessary data from contractual agreements and vendor/3rd party information. This position can be 100% remote.Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Complete monthly billing cycle for assigned clients
Perform critical reviews of client contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of billing
Enter and manage multiyear billing subscriptions and coordinate with internal teams to validate and bill contractual milestones
Generate and manage reseller transactional import files and validate billing against customer contracts
Contact appropriate client personnel to resolve payment issues and report accounts receivable status updates to management team
Provide support in investigating and resolving any client billing issues in a timely manner, including submitting, processing, and communicating associated credit memos.
Reconcile and investigate changes in client billings
Assist with month end tasks as needed
Provide financial audit support as required
Review current processes and assist in creating and managing appropriate process documentation
Review existing process for areas to make improvements in accuracy and efficiency
Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) and two years of related experience preferred or equivalent work experience
Experience in working in a shared service, corporate, operational, fast-growing environment
Strong knowledge and use of basic accounting principles, practices, procedures, and internal controls with emphasis on accounts receivable
Ability to professionally communicate both internally and externally with individuals at all levels of an organization, including senior leadership
Skilled in Microsoft (must be comfortable in Excel with v-lookup, pivot tables and good overall knowledge) and Google suites; proficient in complex accounting systems; NetSuite experience a plus
Self-starter with a can-do attitude
Ability to work both independently and in a team setting; flexible, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced business environment
Strong problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines and goals
Exceptional time management skills

Experience working within a SaaS environment or fintech industry
