Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Accountant to join our finance team in Warsaw, Poland. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with International accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. You will contribute to secure and green energy ecosystem creation by:
- Recording and posting accounting documents in the accounting system;
- Posting purchases invoices, issuing sales invoices and credit notes in accordance with company policies and tax regulations;
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements;
- Processing and posting bank statements;
- Monitoring outstanding receivables and payables and payment processes (including the generation of payments from the accounting system);
- Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes;
- Preparing VAT, CIT and other tax-related data and supporting tax reporting;
- Participate in preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS and Polish accounting standards;
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance;
- Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience;
- Proficiency in accounting software. Experience with MS Dynamics would be an advantage;
- Knowledge of IFRS and Polish accounting standards;
- Familiarity with Polish tax regulations and reporting requirements;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Fluency in Polish and English (both written and spoken).
