Requirements
  • Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or any relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Prior working experience in qualified accounting AND tax role
  • Subject matter expert in local Gaap and IFRS required
  • Skills on Sweden VAT required
  • Experience with corporate tax or a tax partner in Sweden
  • Thorough knowledge of local accounting principles and procedures
  • Working under International team is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Flexible in their approach, with the ability to multi-task
  • Confident, pro-active, self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Ability to adapt to time zone difference
  • Analytical abilities, attention to details and aptitude in problem-solving
  • Willing to be ‘hands-on’ and get truly involved
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages preferably Microsoft Business Central
  • Proficient in English

Supervision Received

This role requires a proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks, projects, or programs under the guidance of the Finance Manager – Controlling & Tax. Supervision is provided based on specific tasks or project objectives, and the individual is expected to manage day-to-day responsibilities with minimal oversight. The role operates with a high level of ownership while following established processes and priorities set by the manager.

Responsibilities

The Accountant Controller– Controlling & Tax professional will support financial controlling, local regulatory compliance, IFRS reporting, and payroll management activities. This role works under the guidance of the Global Finance Manager and collaborates with other finance team members to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of financial processes.

Tasks and Duties

  • Support planning, coordination and quality assurance in accounting:
  • Assist in ensuring applicable laws and regulations are followed
  • Responsible for compliance projects for assigned legal entities
  • Preparation of IFRS entries:
  • Accruals Taxes
  • IFRS Journals
  • Assist in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Assist in organizing and ensuring accuracy of global Transfer Pricing bookings
  • Manage Intercompany reconciliations in a weekly basis
  • Manage and comply with local government reporting requirements and tax filings in a timely manner for assigned entities and projects:
  • VAT tax
  • Income tax
  • WH Tax
  • Payroll Tax
  • Collaborate with other finance stakeholders to encourage audit preparedness
  • Assist in evaluating insurance coverage to ensure proper risk mitigation
  • Manage local statutory reporting requirements for assigned legal entities
  • Manage year end disclosure package for assigned legal entities
  • Ensure board minutes and other regulatory requirements are satisfied for assigned legal entities ( assisted by legal department in house or external )
  • Coordinate with HR and Process monthly payroll for employees
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Global Finance Manager-Controlling
