Accountant (Contract)
San Mateo, CA (Hybrid)
This is a hybrid Senior Accountant role that will support both Retail revenue accounting and Regional Treasury responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly retail revenue reporting and reserve analysis including retail returns and warranties
- Prepare monthly accruals for promotions to retailers
- Research discrepancies and account reconciliations related to retail revenue and reserves.
- Prepare monthly cash and treasury related journal entries
- Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including completing reconciliations, escalating and resolving issues, and meeting all associated deadlines
- Facilitating audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
Qualifications:
- The candidate must be self-driven and have a strong understanding of accounting principles, must be able to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance related discipline
- Solid understanding of US GAAP
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to independently and efficiently research
- Advance Excel skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment within tight deadlines
