Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in managing revenue accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance activities. This position is responsible for end-to-end revenue billing, reconciliations, management reporting, and supporting half-year and year-end financial reporting requirements. Working closely with internal stakeholders, clients, partners, and auditors, you will provide financial insights, drive process improvements, and mentor junior team members while ensuring strong financial controls and compliance across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end revenue processes, including billing, analysis, reconciliations, revenue share arrangements, partner billing, and maintaining revenue models.
  • Prepare month-end management accounts, financial dashboards, and reporting packs.
  • Support half-year and year-end reporting, including variance analysis and responding to external audit requirements.
  • Perform key financial reconciliations including revenue, GST, intercompany accounts, bank accounts, debtors, creditors, and accrued revenue.
  • Manage BAS preparation and support broader tax and compliance activities.
  • Oversee client onboarding, novations, contract terminations, and complex billing arrangements.
  • Respond to complex client and partner queries relating to billing, adjustments, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with Sales, FP&A, Operations, and other business teams to provide financial guidance and support commercial decision-making.
  • Assist with finance system implementations, user acceptance testing (UAT), and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and support junior team members while contributing to a high-performing and collaborative team culture.

Requirements:

  • CPA or CA qualified (or nearing completion) with 3+ years' accounting experience.
  • Strong background in financial accounting, management reporting, reconciliations, and revenue accounting.
  • Experience working with audits, statutory reporting, and month-end processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills including XLOOKUPs, data tables, and complex financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, solve problems, and drive process improvements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the business.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
