We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Sydney. This role will be involved in providing professional accounting services to a diverse range of clients, family owned businesses to significant global entities. This role will provide you exposure to numerous clients across a broad range of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a range of financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting and financial reporting standards;
- Prepare clear and concise work papers;
- Supervise junior staff on certain jobs, as appropriate;
- Prepare income tax and FBT returns, and identify noncompliance issues arising from them;
- Perform tax planning for clients;
- Prepare tax returns for all entities;
- Prepare Business Activity Statements;
- Quarterly and annual tax compliance matters;
- Preparation of management accounts;
- Prepare advice for clients in relation to business operations and regulatory matters;
- General business administration.
About You

You will also be:
- CA or CPA Qualification or partly completed;
- 1 to 2 years of Business Services or Tax experience (ideally from a mid-tier sized firm);
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability;
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage individual and team workflow;
- Self-motivated; takes responsibility for personal and professional development;
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/Outlook;
- Xero (desired)
- SAP (desired)
