Kaeppel Consulting is seeking an "Accountant" for a reputed client in San Antonio, TX. This is a 6-month project, an Onsite position.
 

• Performs specialized technical work of considerable complexity and responsibility requiring a considerable amount of knowledge of theory and practice in accounting and finance, and expertise and experience in maintaining accounting records. Responsible for preparing periodic financial and analytical reports. Work is performed under occasional supervision only and requires initiative and independent judgment to analyze data or situations and determine solutions to problems within the limits of standard practice and client's policy. May be required to assist in the preparation of forecasts and other studies based on various operating statistics.

• Preparation of schedules, journal vouchers, budgets, reports, analysis, financial statements, audit work papers and other financial documentation.

• Reconciliation of various general ledger accounts, employee leave balances, employee benefit balances, fixed asset records, and other financial data.

• Analysis of operating statistics, budgetary variance, labor expense, revenue receipts and other financial and statistical data.

• Maintenance of accounting support records including, but not limited to payroll, investment, budget, revenue, passenger, fixed assets and capital projects, general ledger, or grant documentation.

• Makes recommendations for improvements to the accounting system and procedures.

  Additional Requirements

  • Candidate shall have knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of accounting. 
  • Candidate shall be able to obtain knowledge of any applicable federal regulations.
  • Candidate shall have the ability to apply accounting theory and practice.
  • Candidate shall be able to analyze and interpret fiscal records and to prepare.
