Purpose

Lay the foundation for successful client partnerships by keeping the agency team organized and up to speed on all account activities. Manage the development of creative initiatives from conception to completion, owning and fostering day-to-day client relationships. Responsible for managing social media efforts --supervising all efforts within social outlets on behalf of our client. Believer in social outlets’ ability to create awareness, spread valuable or entertaining experiences. All while building relationships and affinity for our client’s’ brands.

Responsibilities

Management of the Fundamentals

  • This role includes:
    • Meeting management
    • Presentation materials development
    • Job/Budget tracking and management
    • Competitive tracking
    • Status reports
    • Maintain a working knowledge of – and be able to report on – client brand’s performance in the social spaces.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of – and be able to report on – competitive activities in the social spaces.
  • Be knowledgeable and manage the details of all assigned client projects.
  • Attending weekly agency/Client status meetings per brand.
  • Review monthly organic social content with brand and social teams and provide collective feedback.
  • Review Influencer campaign concepts, ID Lists and influencer content with brand and social teams and provide collective feedback.
  • Review paid campaign concepts and content and ensure all deliverables are met and delivered to agency partners. 
  • Ensure SEO strategy is being implemented across all copy in social channels.
  • Contribute to tracking and suggesting cultural trends to engage with via unique content or content engagement
  • Review content through the lens of a Client's Social team member in looking for required hashtags, social media content best practices, and legal guidelines
  • Ensure clients are proactively and consistently up-to-date on all projects.
  • Manage and monitor all designated social media initiatives for Clients.
  • Review and coordinate all specified Clients’ social media properties to include Meta, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter) Pinterest and YouTube.
  • Work with creative and account management teams in creating and presenting social media plans and initiatives
  • Create unique, branded content including posts, images and videos in partnership with, or with direction from creative teams as part of the daily community management responsibility.
  • Participate in developing a content strategy, reporting and optimizing across platforms.

The Business of the Business

  • Become and remain knowledgeable about assigned clients’ business including marketing/communication objectives, KPIs, category, competition, etc.
  • Pitch posts / stories based on observations of opportunities in the market space.
  • Anticipate potential changes and obstacles with the client’s business and/or our relationship and involve the appropriate agency resources to bring to a resolution.
  • Work closely with the Account Director to understand our clients’ business(marketing/communication objectives, KPIs, category, competition, etc.) and show increasing abilities to have a grasp of the issues and opportunities our clients face.
  • Demonstrate the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems independently.
  • Partner with strategists to analyze all competitive advertising activity and lead the preparation of competitive reviews and updates.
  • Ensure that project manager, creative, strategy, digital and media groups are informed of any changes in client and/or competitive climate.
  • Support senior account management staff in preparation of client plans and recommendations. 
  • Build strong, and trusting client relationships.

Proactive Team and Client Leader

  • Supervise the planning and execution of advertising campaigns in accordance with client's objectives and budget. Responsible for delivering work on time and on budget.
  • Work with Account Leadership, Production and other department heads to define project scope, staffing and time allocation for projects.
  • Guides, advises, assists, and stimulates all team members with the explicit goal of developing the agency’s account management talent. Takes action on underperforming individuals in a proactive respectful manner.
  • Set accurate expectations with client, internal teams and partner agencies on project schedules communicating any shifts along the way.
  • Collaborate with strategy, media and creative teams in the development of the agency's recommendation for the advertising mix to be used and the creative approach to be taken.
  • Manage client questions as it relates to production timing, estimates and workflow.
  • Presents information and recommendations with confidence, instilling trust.
  • Develop strong working relationships with partner agencies ensuring two-way knowledge sharing.

Professional Skills & Knowledge

  • Experienced in leading full scale traditional and/or non-traditional marketing programs from idea conception through wrap-up.

  • Ability to think independently and recommend improvements to existing processes.Help activate and foster the McKinney culture.

  • Expert in Google Suite Collaboration Tools, especially Google Slides, as key communication tools.

Experience

Five or more years of agency or related communication industry experience that provides an understanding of advertising, marketing, media, creative, production, research, direct marketing, agency and finance. Additionally, social media experience in a production environment at a digital agency, full service advertising agency or client-side. Active blog or social media presence. Proven experience in managing internal and external content contributors and working with other brands on Meta, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter) Pinterest and YouTube. 

Salary Range

Our estimated range for this role is $100 - $120k

Compensation packages are based on the skill level and experience each candidate brings to their role. There may also be a more senior or junior position available that could be a better fit with your expertise. Each level has its own compensation range.
