The Account Specialist is a full-time, in-office role responsible for growing and developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of established commercial and residential customers across a national customer base. You’ll partner with sales, customer experience, marketing, dealer support and field operations to understand operational challenges, cultivate growth opportunities and position our brand as their trusted industry partner. You’ll exercise independent judgment to evaluate customer needs, prepare and approve quotes, and guide commercial and residential customers through the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Account Growth & Revenue: Identify upselling and cross-sell opportunities, develop and implement sales plans to drive profitability for assigned portfolio aligned with business goals, market trends and competitive insights.   
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer partnerships, negotiate commercial agreements, and address customer needs to ensure satisfaction and retention. Develop reports that monitor account performance and implement strategies to increase customer value.
  • Customer Success & Service: Coordinate with field technicians and operations leadership to ensure alignment of project requirements and customer expectations. Provide expert guidance to customers on products, installation processes, and service requirements. Support customer business reviews and provide compelling data and reports for presentations.
  • Sales Performance & Market Analysis: Monitor sales results, analyze performance data and market trends, and develop strategies to achieve targets. Monitor market activity, competitor offerings and customer requirements to identify opportunities for continued growth.
  • CRM Management & Analysis: Manage and maintain the company’s CRM platform, ensuring accurate customer data, tracking interactions, and supporting sales, customer service and dealer support teams in using CRM tools effectively and optimizing CRM workflows.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events while promoting innovative solutions that support sales success.
Qualifications
  • Degree preferred or equivalent professional or relevant industry experience
  • 3+ years of related professional experience in technical account sales, customer success or sales support in a relevant industry with demonstrated success in driving business growth
  • Experience in service, construction, home improvement, pool and spa, or related technical industries preferred
  • Strong understanding of sales, negotiation, and business development practices
  • Commercially minded with experience managing customer accounts, inside sales pipelines and profitability
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales analytics tools
  • Ability to learn and communicate technical product information clearly
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to manage assigned accounts effectively
  • Excellent communication, customer relationship, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
  • Team player, collaborative across teams and focused on exceptional service delivery

Working Conditions

•     Works in an office setting with a requirement to be on-site five days per week

  • Must be able to speak clearly and hear adequately to converse with clients and colleagues in person and over virtual meetings
  • Ability to work at a desk for long periods of time

•     Must have close visual acuity to read fine print, analyze data on a monitor, and review digital and physical documents for prolonged periods of time

Skills Required

  • Degree or equivalent professional or relevant industry experience
  • 3+ years of related professional experience in technical account sales, customer success, or sales support in a relevant industry
  • Demonstrated success driving business growth
  • Experience in service, construction, home improvement, pool and spa, or related technical industries
