Job Title: Account Recovery Manager
Reports to: Head of Legal / General Counsel / Co-Founder
Role Summary:
At inKind Capital, we support restaurant operators by providing innovative financing and business solutions that strengthen hospitality ventures nationwide. As our B2B Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing collections across our restaurant partner network. Your mission is to protect and enhance inKind’s financial health while maintaining the strong, trust-based relationships we’ve built with our restaurant partners.
This role blends financial acumen with hospitality empathy — balancing assertive collection strategies with a service-oriented approach that aligns with inKind’s commitment to partnership and growth.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Manage a portfolio of restaurant partner accounts to ensure timely collection of payments and resolution of outstanding balances.
- Maintain strong, positive relationships with partner operators and hospitality groups while addressing payment issues with professionalism and discretion.
- Collaborate with inKind’s Legal, Finance, and Partner Success teams to strategize and execute effective collection processes.
- Review contracts and payment schedules to ensure compliance and identify potential risks or red flags early.
- Negotiate payment plans, settlements, and resolutions that protect inKind’s interests while supporting long-term partner success.
- Track, document, and report on collection activities and account statuses using CRM and financial systems.
- Develop and refine internal processes for proactive collections outreach and escalation procedures.
- Provide insights to leadership on payment trends, risk exposure, and opportunities for improved partner engagement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in B2B collections, account receivables management, or credit control — preferably within the hospitality, finance, or restaurant industries.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency with CRM, financial, and data-tracking tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, QuickBooks, Excel).
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and contract structures.
- Ability to travel periodically to meet with partners and internal teams (up to 20%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Knowledge of commercial credit terms, payment plans, and business lending practices.
- Experience working with restaurants, hospitality groups, or food-related entities/clients
- Experience in a start-up environment is a plus
Work Environment:
- The candidate in this position may occasionally travel to inKind partner restaurant/hospitality and potential restaurant/hospitality locations, and be exposed to conditions typical of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, hotels, etc.
- The candidate in this position will be primarily located in an office environment and be exposed to lighting, temperature, and noise level conditions typical of that environment
- This position is primarily in-person, with an expectation of in-person work at the physical office location in Austin, Texas a minimum of four (4) days per week

Salary:
- $110,000 - $115,000, DOE
