The Role
The Account Planner plays a vital role in both pre-sale ideation and post-sale execution, developing compelling and customized plans while ensuring seamless execution of display, turnkey social, and site-centric campaigns. This role is responsible for building media and client-supplied content distribution strategies that align with client KPIs, enhancing the client experience and driving campaign success.
Responsibilities
- Develop display media only campaigns and branded content distribution strategies for RFPs within a $250K budget, aligning with brand goals and performance objectives while ensuring BDG’s profit margin.
- Build strategic and tactical media plans in BDG or client templates, leveraging BDG’s inventory, audience insights, and platform capabilities to drive performance.
- Assist in COGS calculations for proposals, ensuring profitability at various budget levels.
- Enter plans into the OMS and QA media plans for accuracy before submission.
- Once the campaign is sold, serve as a point of contact for the client providing a high level of client service.
- Work closely with Ad Ops, Branded Content, and Distribution teams to activate campaign elements.
- Monitor campaign pacing and performance, identifying optimization opportunities to maximize delivery and client success.
- Assist in client reporting and post-campaign insights, gathering data to inform renewal and upsell opportunities.
- Track and document best practices, learnings, and case studies to improve future proposal strategies.
Skills
- 1-3 years experience
- Digital media planning or buyer experience and has developed or executed brand campaigns
- Data analytics and performance driven insight
- Campaign and project management
- Time management, organization, detail oriented mindset is key
- The ideal candidate has the ability to work well under BDG Revenue goals and client needs
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite experience with tools such as: Google Ad Manager, Monday.com, Prisma Mediaocean, and an OMS (Operative One or Boostr).
