Primarily responsible for small to mid-size commercial lines accounts. Generates new accounts and develops relationships with clients. Performs tasks associated with maintaining and servicing existing accounts in accordance with agency procedures and carrier guidelines. Must be a team player and able to work under minimal supervision.
Essential Job Duties
Commercial Business Handling (50%)
- Assist agent and/or account executive with new and renewal commercial business processing.
- Pre-fills applications, creates proposals or summaries, and attends client meetings with agents.
- Analyzes new business applications and renewals, makes recommendations and gathers required information
Client Service and Account Management (30%)
- Informs and educates clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions, and insurance needs.
- Works closely with agents on accounts, providing updates on all important activities.
- Reviews expiration lists, initiates the renewal process, and handles rush certificate requests.
Team Collaboration and Professional Development (20%)
- Maintains client files, processes routine correspondence, and prepares policy documents.
- Keeps up to date on rates, forms, and coverage changes from insurance carriers and online resources.
- Assists other team members, engages in premium negotiations, and builds relationships with carriers and brokers.
- Attend carrier/broker and Account Manager meetings (virtual or in-person)
Marginal Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adheres to the company's Attendance Management Policy.
- Possesses a positive, service-oriented attitude towards agents, clients, insureds, and employees of the company.
- Must be able to travel and attend off-site client meetings as needed.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial lines related experience/training
- An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience will be considered.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Producer license required.
- CPCU, CIC or other Property/Casualty Designations preferred.
- Any other certificates, licenses or registrations required by the position.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $49,000 to $91,300.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.Skills Required
