The Account Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with designated accounts to increase market share and ensure strong customer relationships. The Account Manager is also responsible for communicating with customers and business partners to answer inquiries, identify and develop new business opportunities and deliver solutions to know or unknown issues. The Account Manager ensures that customer expectations are met and that customers have a positive Customer Experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the development and achievement of agreed upon annual sales volume/revenue budgets, goals and objectives relative to designated accounts.
- Responsible for the gathering, organization, and analysis of market information to create an annual business plan that delivers performance results in alignment with BlueScope Coated Products (BCP) objectives while maximizing sales volumes, revenues and margins.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of both short and long-term sales strategies to address unique individual account needs, define solutions and actively manage organizational change to deliver a positive Customer Experience while achieving growth with established accounts and increasing market penetration through the development of new accounts.
- Responsible for the creation and nurturing of relationships and partnerships with designated accounts at the executive level.
- Responsible for the management and analysis of BCP sales KPI’s relative to its account base.
- Responsible for regular overnight travel for the deliverance of the BCP corporate message, the face-to-face selling of BCP value proposition, services and solutions to designated accounts.
- Responsible for both the internal and external presentation of BCP strategies to ensure unity and alignment with our business partners.
- Represents the interests of designated accounts with respect to cross-functional initiatives while maintaining a close working relationship with key internal BCP facility and divisional personnel.
- Responsible to clearly communicate the progress and status of duties and responsibilities to BCP leadership.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree and/or a minimum of five years of related work experience is required.
- Incumbent is required to possess a detailed understanding of metal, paint characteristics and coil coating lines. Strong interpersonal and personal computer skills are required.
The ideal candidate would be based out of North Texas/ Dallas/ Fort Worth region
