The Role

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible to perform recovery efforts to minimize losses on accounts identified as being delinquent. You’ll have a portfolio of accounts that you will locate and negotiate with customers to find an affordable repayment solution, enabling customers to free themselves of a headache and you to achieve your monthly goals. Having a consistent portfolio of accounts allows you to build and develop relationships with your customers and uniquely identify ways to help bring their delinquent accounts into a current status over time.

In the Role

  • Places outgoing calls and takes incoming calls. Completes required applicable paperwork including sending all required collection letters.
  • Reviews and monitors delinquent accounts daily and maintains losses at or below established guidelines for assigned job duties.
  • Properly and accurately documents all account activities.
  • Initiates contact with customers in an effort to satisfy any deficient balances.
  • Makes recommendations to management of accounts needing additional attention.
  • Maintaining a positive and mutually beneficial cohesion within your team.
  • May assist other related departments as required by business needs.
  • Ensures compliance with OneMain Financial's policies & procedures as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent training
