About this opportunity:
Ericsson invites you to join our team as an Account Manager in Costa Rica, with accountability for assigned account business, customer relationships, and sales opportunities with a leading telecom operator in the country. Your mandate is to expand profitable business, strengthen customer success, and position Ericsson as a trusted long-term partner across its portfolio.
This is an individual contributor role with broad commercial influence and accountability. Success will be measured through profitable growth, qualified pipeline and conversion, customer satisfaction, sales execution, delivery alignment, and sustained strategic relevance with the customer.
What you will do:
- Execute the account strategy and develop trusted relationships with senior customer decision-makers and influencers.
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer's objectives, operating model, transformation agenda, buying process, and competitive context.
- Lead end-to-end sales engagements from opportunity qualification through proposal, negotiation, contracting, and closure, and where assigned act as Account Commercial Responsible within Ericsson's ways of working.
- Identify, prioritize, and convert high-impact opportunities by leading and mobilizing the Core 3 and relevant cross-functional teams to deliver competitive, compliant, and profitable solutions.
- Execute the multi-year account growth plan across recurring business, expansion, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities, converting market, customer, competitor, and ecosystem insights into clear account priorities and actions.
- Position Ericsson as the preferred partner for network evolution and digital transformation by connecting portfolio capabilities to customer outcomes.
- Manage commercial performance for assigned opportunities and account scope, including revenue, profitability, cash flow, risk, business-case quality, and forecast accuracy.
- Demonstrate influence, ethics and values, commercial thinking, relationship building, and a strong focus on delivering results, while promoting safe ways of working
The skills you bring:
- Proven account management experience in telecommunications, ICT, or B2B technology, supported by strong knowledge of the Costa Rican public and private operator landscape and experience working in international or regional environments.
- Strong commercial acumen across business-case development, pricing, profitability, contract principles, working capital, cash flow, and business-risk management.
- Strategic thinking and account-planning discipline, including stakeholder mapping, whitespace analysis, opportunity prioritization, and pipeline governance.
- Consultative and insight-selling capability, with the ability to connect Ericsson's portfolio to customer outcomes, business value, total cost of ownership, and return on investment.
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales engagements and supporting commercially sound negotiations and deal closure
- Clear and compelling executive communication, storytelling, and sales presentation skills, with professional fluency in Spanish and English.
- High stakeholder engagement and agility in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead Core 3, cross-functional, and virtual teams through influence, without direct people-management authority.
