Chemours is seeking a Account Manager for Western Europe with a focus on the Italian market to join our growing Sales team! This position will report directly to the EMEA Business Director.

The position can be based in Switzerland, Belgium, France or Spain and can require up to 40% of travelling.
 
The primary responsibility of this position is to grow and develop the Chemours Titanium Technologies’ business in Western Europe, with a focus on the Italian market. 

This role is part of the EMEA commercial team that is accountable for the revenue and gross contribution of a large territory (Europe, Middle East and Africa) serving a diverse group of customers in the coatings, plastics and paper industries.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead commercial activities at the accounts or geography of responsibility.
  • Execute our growth strategy and drive new business development.
  • Nurture and enhance key relationships with existing customers in the region.
  • Embody best-in-class commercial competency.
  • Develop and gain alignment from various internal resources (Technical Team, Marketing, Supply Chain) on strategic and near-term objectives per account/region and direct execution.
  • Manage forecast goal setting and deliver agreed-to results.
  • Ensures performance of all financial aspects of the business.

The following is required for this role:

  • University degree or higher educational background, preferably in chemistry or chemical engineering.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the Coatings or Plastics or Chemical industries.
  • With minimum 3 years sales & business development experience.
  • Well-developed selling and interpersonal skills in building strong relationships with both external customers and internal supporting organizations (Sales, Marketing, Technical, Customer Service, etc…).
  • Strong communication skills, results oriented and good team player.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Compliance with safety guidelines, strong knowledge of business ethics and internal control processes.
  • Fluent in English and Italian (another European language will be a plus).

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com.
  • Experience working with a global team and international environment.
