About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and relationship-driven Account Manager to join our Partner Sales team in Wellington. In this role, you will manage and grow a portfolio of reseller and partner accounts, identifying new opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships. You will work closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and customers to deliver outstanding service, achieve sales targets, and drive revenue growth. This is an ideal opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys building trusted partnerships, uncovering customer needs, and delivering commercial outcomes in a fast-paced technology environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of partner and reseller accounts across the Wellington region.
  • Develop and execute structured account plans to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Maintain regular customer contact through proactive call cycles, meetings, and business reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to increase customer spend and market share.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver tailored customer solutions.
  • Drive vendor-led initiatives, promotions, marketing activities, and go-to-market campaigns.
  • Track sales performance, pipeline activity, customer trends, and competitor insights.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and provide accurate reporting on account performance and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive communication and issue resolution.
  • Participate in product, sales, and industry training to maintain a strong understanding of technology solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, processes, and health and safety requirements.

Role Requirements

  • Previous experience in Account Management, Business Development, Sales, or Customer Relationship Management.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert sales opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to develop account plans and manage multiple customer relationships effectively.
  • Experience working towards sales and revenue targets.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
  • Experience within the IT, technology, distribution, or channel sales industry is highly desirable.
