We are seeking an enthusiastic hunter, motivated, people-oriented Account Manager for Switzerland (German speaking region excluding Bern region) M/F/D. In this position you will be responsible for driving Agilent Technologies solutions in the Cell and Molecular Research portfolio and developing professional sales relationships with our customers in your assigned territory. You will create and successfully execute on a territory development plan that will result in sales growth outpacing our competitors. You will team with Agilent technical experts, carry quota in the specified geography and named accounts. You will be expected to develop and implement successful strategies and tactics to sell Agilent instrumentation solutions as a part of a dynamic team of sales professionals driving Agilent's success in this competitive marketplace.
Account Manager Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for selling Agilent products to end-user customers. Must proactively drive the sales cycle and forecast sales accurately. Achieve all sales targets around quota.
Responsible for developing customer relationships and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Represents the company to the customer and the voice of customer to the company in sales activities.
Proactively prospect for new customers and new opportunities. Responsible for generating existing and/or new leads and sales for assigned named accounts or assigned geographic, territory, industry or accounts list. Promotes and sells products and/or solutions to current or new customers/partners and informs customers of new product introductions.
Work collaboratively across all Agilent channels and Remote Account Managers. Work with Expert Channel on development and implementation of key marketing programs.
Solve a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.
Provide rigor around updates, expense reporting and other required business processes.
B.S., M.S. or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry; Chemistry, or equivalent in Biological Sciences area.
4+ years of experience in Sales. Strong business development, high level negotiation and sales/closing skills.
Resident in assigned territory German speaking region, Switzerland
Current and ongoing knowledge of the current cell analysis, genomics and pathology market trends and competitive landscape preferably within academia and biopharma accounts.
Sound knowledge of current cellular and molecular methodologies that could include but not limited to metabolomics, transcriptomics, NGS, IHC. Instrumentation include but not limited to Automated Electrophoreses, Imaging, Flow Cytometry and Washer / Reader devices from Agilent´s Cell and Molecular Research portfolio.
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills as well as Interpersonal and Presentation Skills in German and English.
Strong ability to teamwork both internally and externally.
Highly motivated, with excellent self-management, organizational, prioritization and planning skills.
Requires general proficiency with IT; software/database sales tools, systems and procedures.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work from home based in Switzerland.
