The Position

Account Manager - Roche Sequencing Solutions (d/f/m) 

Roche Diagnostics Netherlands or Belgium (depending on your location)

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team and drive innovation in the field of sequencing. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic and agile team, collaborating with colleagues to enhance accessibility to cutting-edge sequencing solutions and improve patient outcomes. 

Join us in launching a new category of NGS technology - Sequencing by Expansion (SBX) - and contribute to this unique opportunity.

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for Roche Sequencing Solutions. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including key opinion leaders in genomics and diagnostics, research institutions, and healthcare organizations.

We are seeking someone with strong strategic and analytical skills, creativity, and a proactive attitude. You have experience in technical sales, consultative selling, and managing complex sales processes. Additionally, experience in working within multidisciplinary teams, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge of the life sciences and diagnostics industry is preferred.

As a person, you are a team player, flexible, results-oriented, and able to set priorities. You have an open mindset and can work effectively in a dynamic and agile environment. You also have strong communication skills and can convey complex information clearly and effectively in English. Being able to be fluent in Dutch is a big plus as well. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and creating opportunities to expand market presence

  • Building and maintaining relevant stakeholder networks

  • Managing sales opportunities through CRM systems

  • Conducting consultative  discussions and product presentations focusing on commercial outcomes

  • Providing technical expertise throughout the sales process

  • Representing Roche at conferences, trade shows, and networking events

  • Collaborating with internal teams to align sales efforts with company objectives

  • Developing and executing strategic plans for regional market penetration

What you bring:

  • Strong knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and molecular techniques

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and mobilize stakeholders

  • Experience in capital equipment sales within the life sciences or diagnostics industry

  • A relevant scientific or business-related degree (BSc, MSc, PhD)

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in sequencing or genomics
