The Impact You Will Make
The Account Manager, New Verticals, is the key contact for strategic Grubhub Marketplace New Verticals accounts. These accounts are new and exciting like convenience, grocery, retail, and ultra fast delivery models. You will be expected to develop successful client partnerships by overseeing day to day tasks while building the value of Grubhub.
Your goals will focus on the launch, retention, account maintenance, and revenue generation of group accounts. You'll be charged with onboarding the brand and supporting a go-to-market strategy with key stakeholders, driving the technical integration, operation and launch deadlines. You will be communicating with restaurant partners on a regular basis, maintaining a high retention rate of your portfolio, as well as, exploring ways to grow each account on the Grubhub platform.
This role requires the keen ability to assess, triage, diagnose and prescribe solutions to support our new vertical partners in a variety of ad hoc scenarios. You are expected to work both as a collaborative team member and an autonomous and independently critical thinker when the situation calls.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the main point of contact to New Verticals Accounts
  • Coordinate each phase of a successful rollout: all onboarding requirements, integration, implementation, training, and client side launch and post-launch
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, marketing, sales, technical, etc.) to ensure success of the brand partnership
  • Expand customer footprint and services adoption through exemplary customer service and demonstrating Grubhub value proposition
  • Analyze data to create compelling narratives that drive improved business outcomes for the brand
  • Lead brand strategy conversations with executive presence and confidence
  • Communicate the needs of these clients to internal stakeholders and partner teams. Understand and prioritize these needs based on the business


What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or highschool diploma/GED
  • 3-5 years experience in working with strategic accounts in a sales, marketing or account management capacity
  • Experience working in the convenience, retail and grocery spaces supporting partners in a consultative fashion, building relationships, and prescribing paths to growth
  • Knowledge and interest in digital convenience/retail ordering
  • Strong organizational skills
  • You thrive in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills. Good listener, capable of comprehending client issues and translating them into an appropriate solution.
  • Proven ability to work across many departments to solve problems and achieve results
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google products) with the ability to quickly learn new software. Experience with Salesforce and JIRA a plus
  • Strong problem solving skills and comfortable analyzing and articulating data
  • Thinking like an owner- being proactive rather than reactive when it comes to account health.
