Account Manager – Netherlands

Here at QuidelOrtho, we are growing and transforming every day. In order to support our purpose and strengthen our business we are looking for an Account Manager to join our commercial organisation.

You’re new role:

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for the Netherlands region. Taking full responsibility for growing the Clinical Laboratory QuidelOrtho business, accelerating market access and expansion.


The role will require you to manage current customers, in addition to mapping, prospecting and converting new customers through an adaptable, resilient and customer excellence approach.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Establish QuidelOrtho presence in the defined area(s)/region(s) through the acquisition of new customers.
  • Accelerate growth of healthy business and maintain current customers needs.
  • Identify, and provide support in relation to tender offering and calculation of tender preparation.
  • Identify and follow up new business opportunities at account level.
  • Consultative selling to existing & prospective customer, including presenting QuidelOrtho products & services.
  • Cooperate with Laboratory Specialists & Field Engineers.
  • Overseeing inventory management, forecasting and facilitating internal QuidelOrtho division tasks.
  • Own and be accountable for delivering business results in line with business plan for the area.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Minimum of a degree in a relevant field, or equivalent demonstrable work experience with a focus on a scientific/healthcare related field (e.g. biology, pharmacy, chemistry, medicine, health care, medical technologies, diagnostics).
  • Proven track record of account management, sales or product support. Ideally possessing a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working within a similar organisational environment (preferably diagnostics).
  • Customer focused approach with a keen desire to achieve customer excellence in every activity and interaction.
  • Results oriented, with a high level of resilience and adaptability to changing scenarios.
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience of identifying and seizing business opportunities whilst persisting when faced with obstacles and challenges.
  • Previous experience in tender management.
  • Strong relationship building skills, coupled with strong communication skills are critical within this role.
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Ability for problem solving
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent Dutch and English language skills.
  • Flexibility to travel
